PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder forging which can obtain excellent fatigue properties satisfying a fatigue limit of ≥400N/mm2 while securing sufficient machinability and toughness even without adding expensive elements; to provide a powder mixture which is used as the raw material of the powder forging; and to provide a fracture split type connecting rod which is produced using the powder forging.;SOLUTION: The powder forging has a true density ratio of ≥97% and has a componential composition containing, by mass, 0 to 0.45% C, 0.5 to 4% Cu and 0.1 to 0.7% P, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and in which the content of C, Cu and P satisfies the conditional expression of [Cu]+22[C]+28[P]14, wherein [ ] represents the content (mass%) of each element.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
