PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a novel solvent for effectively dissolving a triazine type lipophilic screening agent in order to enhance solubility of the triazine type lipophilic screening agent in an oil in a carrier of a cosmetic or a dermatological formulation containing the same without defects described in the paragraph of the prior arts in the specification.;SOLUTION: The composition includes at least one ester derived from 4-carboxy-2-pyrrolidinone of formula (I) [wherein R¹ is a linear or branched 1-20C alkyl group; and R² is a linear or branched 1-20C alkyl group optionally bearing a 5C to 6C ring, a phenyl group, a benzyl group or a phenethyl group] and at least one triazine type lipophilic UV screening agent in a medium acceptable for cosmetics. The use of at least one ester derived from the 4-carboxy-2-pyrrolidinone of formula (I) defined above, as a solvent for the triazine UV screening agent in the composition containing at least one triazine type lipophilic UV screening agent in a medium acceptable for cosmetics, in a medicine and/or as a medicine for enhancing solubility of the active component in the composition, or for enhancing an ultraviolet rays-protecting factor, is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
