PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel for a stabilizer for a vehicle, which has improved the corrosion resistance of the material itself, has such high strength as a tensile strength of 1,100 MPa or more and is superior in corrosion resistance and low-temperature toughness, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.;SOLUTION: The steel superior in corrosion resistance and low-temperature toughness for the high-strength stabilizer for the vehicle comprises, by mass%, 0.07-0.20% C, more than 0.6% and equal to or less than 1.5% Si, 1-3% Mn, 0.1-1.0% Cr, 0.005-0.080% sol. Al, 0.005-0.060% Ti, 0.005-0.060% Nb, 0.070% or less Ti+Nb, 150 ppm or less N, 0.035% or less P, 0.035% or less S, 0.01-1.00% Cu, 0.01-1.00% Ni, and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities; has a structure which is formed of any of bainite, martensite, or a mixture structure of bainite/martensite, before being formed into a stabilizer; and has former austenite crystal grains of which the grain size is 9 or more by the grain size number after the stabilizer has been heat-treated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
