PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure of a frame having a drain part which is usable when solar battery modules or lighting panels are laid on the roof of a building in which the roof surface is longer in the extending direction, and also to provide a connection structure of a frame for laying solar battery modules, and an external structure having solar battery modules. PSOLUTION: In this connection structure of a frame, frames 1, 1' having respective drain parts 13 are connected to a base through a connection member 2 in the longitudinal direction. The frame 1 includes a fixed part 11 fixed onto the base, a leg part 12 extending from the fixed part 11 upward, and a drain part 13 provided above the leg part 12. An insertion receiving part 121 is formed on the water downstream side of the leg part 12 of the frame 1 disposed at least on the water upstream side. The connection member 2 includes a water upstream side portion 21 which surrounds the drain part 13 of the frame 1 from the outside and a water downstream side portion 2 which is disposed inside the drain part 13. The connection member 2 is inserted into the insertion receiving part 121 of the frame 1 on the water upstream side, a water upstream side portion 1 is disposed at the drain part 13, and a water downstream side portion 22 is disposed at and connected to the drain part 13 of the water downstream side frame 1'.
