PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for constructing a steel pipe pile and a construction method of the steel pipe pile capable of improving the construction workability of the steel pipe pile and reducing a construction cost.;SOLUTION: By utilizing a connecting male member 5 of an upper pile body 2 and by tentatively fixing a protector body 11 to the connecting male member 5 so that a tip of the protector body 11 of a construction protector 10 is projected lower than the tip of the connecting male member 5, the repair or the like of the connecting male member 5 is not required and the construction cost can be reduced because the connecting male member 5 is protected by the protector body 11 even if the upper pile body 2 is dragged in the ground when the upper pile body 2 is hung. Work for tentatively fixing and removing the construction protector 10 for the upper pile body 2 and work for connecting the upper pile body 2 to a lower pile body can be quickly performed and construction workability can be improved since the protector body 11 and the connecting female member of the lower pile body have almost the same shapes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
