PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring the total amount of the alkali in fresh concrete on the spot, easily and precisely calculating the total amount of the alkali in fresh concrete to be actually used on the spot by actually measuring a part of the amount of the alkali in fresh concrete.;SOLUTION: Cement, aggregate, a mixing agent, water-containing fresh concrete, and water for diluting the fresh concrete are prepared, the concentrations of Na⁺ and K⁺ of the diluting water are measured while the amount of the alkali is calculated, the prepared fresh concrete is diluted to be allowed to stand for a predetermined time, the concentrations of Na⁺ and K⁺ of supernatant water of the diluted fresh concrete allowed to stand are measured to calculate the amount of the alkali and this amount of the alkali is used to calculate the total amount of the target alkali according to the formula (1) (wherein A is the total amount of the alkali in the fresh concrete, B is the amount of eluted alkali, C is the unit amount of cement, D is the maximum value of the total amount of the alkali of a cement test result list, and α is a constant).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
