PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air drying apparatus using exhaust heat as an auxiliary heat source and a hot air drying method using exhaust heat as an auxiliary heat source, which prevent environmental contamination or the like by separating lint from high-temperature exhaust air by water spray and discharging the lint outside, and reduces the running cost for drying washing by generating hot air by an auxiliary heat source mechanism using exhaust air purifying water as a heat source.;SOLUTION: An exhaust air purifier 11 introduces high-temperature exhaust air discharged from the hot air drier 1 to an exhaust duct 2, and captures and separates lint in the high-temperature exhaust air by water spray to thereby purify the exhaust air. The auxiliary air source mechanism 21 using the exhaust air purifying water of the exhaust air purifier 11 as a heat source generates high-temperature water by a heat pump 25 and supplies the high-temperature water to a radiator 28 to thereby generate hot air and supply the high-temperature water to the hot air drier 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
