PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rooftop greening means for further effectively reducing the environmental load. PSOLUTION: A rooftop greening structure A includes a water storing part 1, a water-permeable root-proofing sheet 2, and a plantation part 3. The rooftop greening structure is such that the water storing part 1 includes one or a plurality of water storage edge materials 11 set on an installation surface of a rooftop in an almost vertical direction to a drain inclination, a water-impermeable sheet 12 laid on an installation surface B of a rooftop in an area R1 excluding the installation area of the water storage edge material 11, and laid so as to cover the edge material 11 in an installation area R2 of the water storage edge material, and a bottom raising member 13 set on the water-impermeable sheet 12 in the area R1 excluding the installation area of the water storage edge material 11, and a water supply belt material 4 which raises water stored in the water storing part 1 to the water-permeable root-proofing sheet 2 is set. It is possible to keep the amount of evapotranspiration by plants high and effectively suppress the heat island phenomenon by actively sprinkling water in a summer season using the structure to retain the moisture content in soil.
