PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mother substrate capable of performing the disconnection inspection of an electrode in the state of the mother substrate as it is that is conventionally impossible, and also preventing the outflow of the mother substrate caused by a disconnection failure, to provide a method of inspecting the disconnection of the electrode disposed on the mother substrate, and to provide an information display panel for prepared by using the mother substrate. PSOLUTION: The mother substrate 31 is used for preparing one or more panels for information display which passively drive a display medium enclosed between panel substrates by using dot matrix pixels formed by subjecting line electrodes to an oppositely vertical intersection arrangement so as to display the information of an image or the like. With respect to the line electrodes as one side electrode of a pixel electrode pair arranged in an information display area of an individual panel for information display, electrodes adjoining each other are connected to each other by using a connection electrode 41-1, 41-2 on either of ends of the line electrodes so that all of the line electrodes in the individual information display panels are connected in series.
