PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily focus on a subject, when photographing a high-resolution video. PSOLUTION: In a first display mode, a second video signal applied by filter processing for eliminating high-frequency components from a first video signal is outputted; in a second display mode, the first video signal is outputted as it is. Next, the first or the second video signal is stored to a memory; and in the first display mode, the second video signal is read from the memory, processing for reducing a first picture size to a second picture size is applied, and outputted to the display part. In the second display mode, the first video signal corresponding to a video cut out in second picture size from the first picture size is read from the memory and outputted to the display part. Then, in response to a switch instruction of the first or the second display mode performed by a display mode switch part, filter processing and switching of the first or the second video signal to be read from the memory are controlled.
