PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve cache hit determination of a response without requiring inquiry from a client to a server, in a server/client system such as a web system.;SOLUTION: In a cache hit determining method, the server/client system such as the web system discriminates whether a response received by the client is a response generated by the server or a response returned from a cache in the system.
