COLOR SHIFT EVALUATION METHOD FOR NEWSPAPER, AND NEWSPAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly evaluating color shift troubles generated during a pester in a newspaper rotary printer, and to provide newspaper having small color shift generated during the pester in the newspaper rotary printer.;SOLUTION: In the newspaper color shift evaluation method, the newspaper is cut, and a rectangular specimen having a length of 15 mm in the width direction, orthogonal to the winding direction, is collected. A tensile characteristic is measured using a constant speed extension tensile tester based on JISP8113, and generation of color shift when the newspaper is printed by the rotary printer dependently on constant load extension at a load of 5.9 N is predicted. In the newspaper color shift evaluation method, it is determined that the color shift is within a tolerance if the constant load extension is 0.120% or lower.
