PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for lowering a liquid--holding temperature of liquid gallium so that the liquid gallium can hold the liquid state at room temperature or lower for a long period of time, without adding a large amount of another metal than gallium, and to provide a gallium composition which holds the liquid state at room temperature or lower for a long period of time.;SOLUTION: The method for lowering the liquid-holding temperature of liquid gallium includes: adding fine silica particles having an average particle size of 100 nm or smaller, preferably 50 nm or smaller, further preferably 20 nm or smaller and most preferably 1 to 10 nm in an amount of 0.1 mass% or more, preferably 0.3 to 2.0 mass%, further preferably 0.5 to 1.5 mass% and most preferably 0.5 to 1.0 mass% to the liquid gallium; and subsequently dispersing the fine particles with an ultrasonic wave device or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
