PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film for a fine structure film, with which the fine structure is prevented from being scratched with external stress, and which is easily removed after application of the fine structure film to a substrate, to provide a fine structure film layered product protected with the protective film, and to provide an application method for a fine structure film using the layered product.;SOLUTION: The protective film 100 for a fine structure film has a protective layer 10 of the fine structure which covers a surface to be protected of the fine structure film 20 and is stuck to the surface to be protected, wherein the protective layer 10 of the fine structure comprises a low-melting resin with a predetermined melting point, and a contact angle of the molten liquid of the low-melting resin with respect to the surface to be protected is 90° or less. The fine structure film layered product 200 has the protective film for the fine structure film and the fine structure film. In the application method for the fine structure film, the fine structure film layered product is stuck to the substrate, and simultaneously or subsequently, the protective layer 10 of the fine structure is released from the surface to be protected by heating so as to remove the protective film for the fine structure film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
