PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle navigation system for accurately correcting an own vehicle position even if the other vehicle can not be recognized by utilizing an inter-vehicle communication.;SOLUTION: In the vehicle navigation system, an information distribution center 50 corrects the vehicle position based on a position of a target on a road, identifies the other vehicle which exists near an arbitrary vehicle for transmitting information used for a correction and does not complete the position correction, estimates information on a position of the other vehicle based on a positional relationship between information on the position of the target on the road transmitted from the arbitrary vehicle and information on the position of the other vehicle transmitted from the other vehicle, and transmits information required for the correction of the position of the other vehicle to the other vehicle. An in-vehicle navigation apparatus 10 is mounted to the other vehicle, and corrects the vehicle position based on the information transmitted from the information distribution center 50.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
