PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preventing harvest from being trodden, which is attached to a harvester of root vegetables, travels and prevents unloaded root vegetables from being trodden by tires of machine body. PSOLUTION: An arm link is vertically rotatably supported on a machine body rear part by means of a shaft forward at a reverse side of a tank and a rod link regulated by an upper and a lower stoppers are vertically rotatably supported on the lower end side of a support frame at a machine body front part by means of a shaft. A frame body having a guard frame extended from the machine body front part to the vicinity of wheels is connected to the outside of the arm link and the rod link. The front part of the frame body is vertically rotatably supported on the tip end part of the rod link by means of a shaft and the rear part of the frame body is connected through a universal joint mechanism to the free end side of the arm link. The intermediate part of a vertically inclining lever is vertically rotatably supported on a shaft toward the crosswise direction of the machine body, a connection part to be brought into contact with the external surface of the bottom of a storage tank is arranged on the top of the lever and a space between the tip of the lever toward the upper part of the intermediate part of the frame body and the intermediate bracket of a framework frame is connected by a support wire.
