PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light intensity detecting device, or the like, for detecting light intensity, based on the duration of a pulse signal output from an optical sensor, without being affected by noise.;SOLUTION: This light intensity detector 1 includes a time measuring section 10 for measuring an elapsed time since rise of a pulse signal output from the optical sensor 2; a signal state acquiring section 12 for acquiring the state of the pulse signal, a sampling section 14 for commanding the signal state acquiring section 12 to obtain the state of the pulse signal at a sampling interval, according to the elapsed time from the rise of the pulse signal; and a falling detection section 16 for detecting the fall of the pulse signal when the falling state of the pulse signal is continuously obtained twice. When falling of the pulse signal is detected, the sampling section 14 outputs, as the duration of the pulse signal, the time when it commands the signal state acquiring section 12 so as to obtain the state of the pulse signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
