PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating composition which excels in weatherability and stain resistance, does not crack due to unevenness of an architectural design of a coated material surface even if applied at a low temperature, and moreover has stable water resistance. PSOLUTION: This aqueous coating composition includes: an acrylic resin emulsion which is synthesized from an unsaturated group-containing polymerizable monomer having 30-60 wt.% methyl methacrylate monomer, and has a glass transition temperature of 10C and 30C; an aggregate having hydroxy groups on the surface; trialkoxysilane having a vinyl group; a pigment; a filler; a thickener; and a film-forming auxiliary agent.
