PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing a chlorite solution, a stabilized chlorite solution, a method for generating chlorine dioxide using the stabilized chlorite solution, and a method for removing the generated chlorine dioxide.;SOLUTION: The method for stabilizing a chlorite solution comprises a stage S1 where a chlorite solution is prepared and a stage S2 where the chlorite solution is stabilized by adding a reducing agent to the chlorite solution. The stabilized chlorite solution comprises a chlorite and a reducing agent. The method for generating chlorine dioxide comprises a stage where a stabilized chlorite solution is prepared and a stage S3 where acid is added to the stabilized chlorite solution to generate chlorine dioxide. The method for removing chlorine dioxide comprises a stage S4 where the generated chlorine dioxide is brought into contact with a reducing agent to remove chlorine dioxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
