PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up full text search by improving narrow-down accuracy of a file. PSOLUTION: The number r of characters is set as r=2, and a search character string is set as "beautiful" of an English word, and explanation is performed as follows. When the search character string "beautiful" is inputted, entry of each s-th two-consecutive character from the head of "beautiful", i.e., "be", "ea", "au", ut", "ti" "if", "fu", "ul" is extracted, and an AND operation of each flag string is performed. By the AND operation, a file wherein a flag is "1" is a file including a word wherein a character string from the head is "beautiful". In this case, the file is narrowed down to a file fi described with "beautiful" and a file fn described with "beautifully".
