PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a green sand mold apparatus capable of decreasing the volume of the green sand mold, decreasing the usage of the green sand used for the green sand mold, and thereby decreasing the cost of kneading the green sand, though employing a green sand mold, and a method for molding a green sand mold.;SOLUTION: The green sand mold apparatus includes: green sand molds 2d, 2u, which are formed by pressurizing a green sand containing an inorganic binder and have casting cavities 20d, 20u on the surfaces thereof; casting flasks 3d, 3u, which house the green sand molds 2d, 2u; and backup materials 4d, 4u, which are arranged in spatial parts of the casting flasks 3d, 3u in the sides of back faces 202 which are positioned at the back of the front surfaces of the green sand molds 2d, 2u, and which support the sides of the back faces 202 of the green sand molds 2d, 2u put in the casting flasks 3d, 3u.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
