PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an electrode stock (namely, electrode active material) in which a big volume change generated during charge/discharge as the biggest problem in the commercialization of a silicon electrode stock is controlled, and the low electric conductivity properties of silicon are improved, and to provide an anode for a secondary battery and a secondary battery using the same. PSOLUTION: Carbon nanotube-coated silicon/metal composite particles in which the surfaces of the composite particles of silicon and metal are coated with carbon nanotubes are prepared, and, using an anode for a secondary battery containing a collector and an anode active material containing the carbon nanotube-coated silicon/metal composite particles, a secondary battery is prepared.
