Web / DAV server, network appliance apparatus, online storage system, and control method

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology achieving a high-reliability and low-cost structure of on-line storage service, and allowing a flexible change of server capacity. PSOLUTION: This on-line storage system has: a Web/DAV server 28 installed in an Internet service center 25, having an iSCSI initiator function, and receiving server management requirement from a user terminal 21; a network appliance device 23 installed in a user house 21, having an iSCSI target function, and connected to a storage device 24; the storage device 24 connected to the network appliance device 23; and the user terminal 22 performing server management. The Web/DAV server 28 performs iSCSI login to the network appliance device 23, and receives the server management requirement from the user terminal 21, and the network appliance device 23 receives the iSCSI login from the Web/DAV server 28, and receives management requirement to the storage device 24.
