PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saving operation device of an elevator capable of reducing the manufacturing cost and an installation space by reducing the capacity of a battery as an emergency, power source and providing the smooth saving operation. ;SOLUTION: The saving operation can be smoothly executed by continuing the saving operation so far as the lowering of the voltage of the electric power supplied from a battery 30 is not detected by a voltage lowering detecting means 19 even though an electric motor 4 for elevation is erroneously operated at a powering side in starting of the saving operation. When the voltage of the power supplied by the battery 30 becomes lower than a predetermined value, the operation of the electric motor 4 for elevation is stopped, and then the electric motor 4 is operated in the opposite direction, whereby the electric capacity of the battery 30 can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
