PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hardly caking sodium hydrogencarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) suitable in the fields of food, medicine, and bath salts and requiring no addition of an anticaking agent.;SOLUTION: (1) Wet sodium hydrogencarbonate particles are kept in contact, for 1-20 min, with a drying gas containing at least 5 vol% carbon dioxide gas, having a water content corresponding to a dew point of 50°C or lower, and being kept at 50-400°C.
