PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rope isolator including a wire operated between a pair of mounting blocks so as to form bights of an elastic wire rope.;SOLUTION: When generally forming four U-shaped bights 31 to 34 around the mounting blocks 10 and 20 by a leaf-like pattern of clover, the free end of the wire rope 30 completely penetrates through a horizontal hole most closely adjacent to a fastening hole of a start. The wire rope 30 is fixed to the mounting blocks 10 and 20 by crimps 14 to 16, 23 and 24 or staking. Tensile force is maintained after a winding process for minimizing a change in a dimension and rigidity in the assembled isolator. The four bights 31 to 34 made after a crimp-staking process have an attribute such as a spring capable of weakening vibrational energy. The four bights 31 to 34 have the same dimension and rigidity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
