PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscoelastic flexible polyurethane foam having excellent viscoelastic properties to uniformly disperse the pressure of a human body compared with conventional flexible polyurethane foam, effective for relieving the fatigue and bedsore, excellent from the viewpoint of human engineering and useful as a vibration, noise and shock absorbing material, mattress, pillow, cushion, etc. PSOLUTION: The viscoelastic polyurethane foam having a restoration time of 3-30 sec is produced by reacting (A) an organic polyisocyanate with (B) a polyol in the presence of (E) a catalyst, (F) a foam stabilizer, (G) a foaming agent and arbitrary additives. The component (B) is compounded with (C) ≥30 mol% monofunctional compound containing active hydrogen based on the total molar number of the components (B) and (C) to adjust the isocyanate index to 80-120 in the expansion hardening of these components.
