PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition exhibiting excellent releasability in the production of a molded article with a lignocellulosic material, a hot- pressed article having excellent hot-water resistance, etc., and produced by using the adhesive composition and a method for producing the hot-pressed article.;SOLUTION: The adhesive composition for hot-pressed lignocellulosic article is composed of (A) an organic polyisocyanate and (B) a wax emulsion obtained by emulsifying (B1) a wax with (B2) an emulsifier and having an acid value of ≤10 mgKOH/g. The melting point of the wax B1 is 40-160°C and the emulsifier B2 is an addition polymer of ethylene oxide and a ≥9C aliphatic monoalcohol and having a number-average molecular weight of 100-500.
