PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering mechanism having a fail-safe function which can surely guarantee safety when abnormality occurs in a steering system, and attain simplification and weight reduction of the configuration compared to the mechanical steering device in a vehicle traveling along a predetermined track.;SOLUTION: A protective track 3 is provided on the track of the vehicle 1, and a bracket 21 mounting at least two protective wheels 22, 23 fitting to the protective track in a non-contacting state is turnably mounted to a bogie 1a of the vehicle around a support shaft 24. The protective wheel is disposed at least one by one on both front and rear sides holding the support shaft. The clearance (a) between the front protective wheel 22 and the support shaft is made to be smaller than the clearance (b) between the rear protective wheel 23 and the support shaft, the front end part of the bracket is interlocked with the movement of a tie rod, and the protective wheel contacts the protective track 3 to steer the vehicle when the abnormality occurs in the steering system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
