PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional purified extract liquid of ginseng for medicinal use (a rhizome of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer etc.) that there is a risk of simultaneously removing or reducing the amount of even an active ingredient in the extract liquid of the ginseng for the medicinal use when the extract liquid of the ginseng for the medicinal use is subjected to a contact treatment with active carbon. PSOLUTION: A food additive comprises the extract liquid of the ginseng for the medicinal use. The food additive is characterized by comprising each extract liquid of seeds freed from seed coats of Prunus armeniaca L. or Prunus armeniaca L. var. ansu Maximowicz, and Elettaria cardamomum Maton or Elettaria cardamomum Maton var. minuscule Burkhill in the food additive so that an unpleasant odor or an unpleasant taste of the ginseng for the medicinal use can substantially be eliminated.
