Topic The former silicate type glass coefficient of thermal conductivity was large, the thermal head could not assure electric power consumption conversion low.Solutions The mol % with, P2 O5 50 - 68%, CeO2 15 - 39%, B2 O3 2 - 7%, 0.2 - 0.5% to include PR6 O11, phosphorus acid type glass, or P2 O5 where the mol ratio of P2 O5 for CeO2 satisfies the relationship of 1 P2O5/CeO24 50 - 65%, CeO2 5 - 15%, B2 O3 3 - 8%, Al2 O3 0 - 10%, BaO to include 0 - 9% and PR6 O11, the mol ratio of P2 O5 for CeO2Because the phosphorus acid type glass which satisfies the relationship of 4 P2O5/CeO2 coefficient of thermal conductivity is small, it can assure electric power consumption conversion low by using for the glaze layer of the thermal head. In addition, because coefficient of thermal expansion is equal to the ceramic baseplate, exfoliation of the ceramic baseplate is difficult to happen, in heat resistance is superior.
