PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ascertain the supply of a coloring reagent, when optically measuring the concentration of a substance under measurement included in a liquid and to verify the rinsed state of a container for storing therein a liquid under measurement and the replaced state of the liquid under measurement, when performing new measurement.;SOLUTION: For this composition for liquid concentration measurement used for concentration measurement of the substance under measurement included in a liquid is such that, if it reacts with the substance in the liquid, contains a reagent showing absorption at a specific wavelength and a coloring matter showing absorption in a wavelength zone different from the specied wavelength. This liquid concentration measuring method, using this composition for liquid concentration measurement, includes a storage process for storing the liquid under measurement in the container 2, a supply process for supplying the composition for liquid concentration measurement into the container 2, a supply-ascertaining process for ascertaining the supply of the reagent, based on a change in color of the liquid owing to the coloring matter, and a measurement process for measuring the concentration of the substance, based on the degree of coloring of the liquid caused by a reaction between the reagent and the substance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
