PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual chlorine measurement system which allows for determining free chlorine concentration corrected for pH effects by means of absorptiometry without having to use a pH adjustment reagent and electrode pH meter.;SOLUTION: A residual chlorine measurement system includes an absorptiometer 10 for measuring an absorbance A1 of a sample liquid at a first wavelength λ1 (230nm≤λ1≤260nm) and an absorbance A2 of the sample liquid at a second wavelength λ2 (270nm≤λ2≤320nm), and a computing device 20 equipped with a storage unit 21 and a computation unit 22 and configured to receive the absorbances acquired by the absorptiometer 10, the computation unit 22 being configured to perform; a step 1 of computing pH of the liquid under measurement, or pHX, based on the absorbances; a step 2 of determining apparent free chlorine concentration NfX' in the liquid under measurement; and a step 3 of correcting the apparent free chlorine concentration NfX' in the liquid under measurement suing pHX to obtain free chlorine concentration NfX.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
