There is provided a music composition search device capable of visually displaying characteristics of a search keyword itself and characteristics of a music composition searched by using the search keyword and enabling a user to change the search condition according to user’s preference. The music composition search device includes: music composition characteristic information database (3) for accumulating music composition characteristic information indicating the characteristics of lyrics; an input unit (9) for inputting a search word; a search word characteristic information database (4) for accumulating search word characteristic information indicating the characteristics of lyrics to be searched in accordance with a personal point indicated by the inputted search word; and a search processing unit (8) for generating comparison object information to be compared to the inputted search music composition characteristic information by converting the music composition characteristic information by using a conversion table T, comparing the inputted search music composition characteristic information to the generated comparison object information, and extracting a music composition corresponding to the music composition information corresponding to the comparison object information most similar to the inputted search music composition characteristic information. The search processing unit (8) modifies the conversion table T according to a modification instruction of the conversion table T.
