PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition for printing an image in a reversible recording medium, not to be easily removed when the image is to be kept in a document but to be assuredly removed for the erasure of the image when rewriting is required, and capable of rewriting.;SOLUTION: The ink composition is for writing on the surface of the reversible recording medium wherein image formation and erasure are reversible upon energy application, and it contains as its main components at least coloring matter, an alcohol-soluble resin, a nonionic surfactant, and a lower alcohol. Concerning drawn lines drawn with the ink composition and then dried on the surface of an evaluation standard surface sheet having a dynamic advance contact angle of 86.0±2.0° relative to distilled water and a dynamic rearward contact angle of 78.0±2.0° relative to the same, (1) the shrinkage rate in the width of the drawn lines is 20% from that before they are dried and, (2) in an adhesive cellophane tape-aided 165° peeling test, (a) the drawn line adhering rate is ≤10% when peeling is performed at a velocity of 30 mm/sec and (b) the drawn line adhering rate is ≥80% when peeling is performed at a velocity of 0.3 mm/sec.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
