AUTONOMOUS DIGITAL DEVICE FOR THE MEASUREMENT-MODIFICATION OF THE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNALS (MAP SENSOR) FOR NEW-TECHNOLOGY GASOLINE/PETROL MOTORS
Subject: an autonomous digital device for the continuous measurement-modification of signals derived from a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP sensor) of modern cars. Constitution: the digital treatment of the MAP sensor via adequate software has for result the transmission to the control unit of new modified signals enhancing the torque and horse power of the motor. The proper operation of the device is synchronically controlled by a device displaying the measured pressure (Turbometer). In fig. 1A is presented a variant of the device which, with parallel connection of the mass flow sensor (MAF) to the processorÆs entry is in position to modify the MAPÆs signals via an improved programme where the grams of the input air (air mass) define -at each time- the rate of the modification signals of the MAP. In the sequel, the new modified signals are conducted to the electronic unit of the motor (ECU) for optimizing the efficiency of the motor (torque and horse power increase). The system is completed with a device interposed between the pressure sensor and the control unit.Purpose: torque and horse power enhancing.Advantages: easy placement due to the design of the circuits on any car model and in a simple manner without affecting the circuits of the car.
