A hot rolling simulation apparatus in a hot rolling line in which a slab discharged from a slab supply portion is rolled , and is thereafter cooled and coiled up into a coil, comprising a temperature prediction model for predicting the temperature of the slab from rolling state variables including at least a speed of the slab and a quantity of water for cooling, and a temperature decreasing history computing portion for continuously computing a temperature decreasing history during a period from the time when the slab is discharged from the slab supply portion to the time when the slab is coiled up into a coil with the use of the temperature prediction model, and delivering the temperature decreasing history in association with a time lapse from the time when the slab is discharged from the slab supply portion.
