DOUBLE-CONE DEVICE OF CONTINUOUS GEOMETRY FOR CREATING A PRESSURE DIFFERENCE IN A FLUID FLOWING THROUGH THE DEVICE

The present invention deals with a double-cone device (400) that produces enhanced suction pressure amplification and reduced noise. The enhancement is achieved is by using a continuous geometry for the two frustroconical sections (302, 304, 402) of the double-cone device (400) . Further, a porous section on the exit cone (304, 402) is used to suck the material into the device. Continuous geometry result's in a stable flow profile that leads to reduced noise and enhanced amplification. The porous section (402) increases the suction force since it can be placed very close to the orifice (308). Further enhancements are also achieved by choosing the appropriate range of entry cone and exit cone angles (θ1; θ2).
