A light filtering and strong light-preventing device for the front seat of an automobile includes a base body and a strong light-preventing soft sheet releasably installed in the base body. The base body has its upper side provided with positioning members and its interior installed with a winding mechanism and a control member, able to be positioned on the windshield or on the front visor of an automobile. In use, simply pull out the strong light-preventing soft sheet to a suitable length needed for filter and block strong light. To wind up the strong light-preventing sheet after pulled down, only press the control member to start the winding mechanism for winding up the strong light-preventing sheet in the base body. The device obstructs strong light, convenient to be assembled and easy to be handled.
