Production of molded parts comprises: pouring a molding material (F) containing an inorganic binder into a hollow chamber (12) of a molding tool (10) in an injection molding machine (1); introducing heat into the molding material located in the tool over a hardening time to solidify the molding material by removing moisture; and maintaining the filling elements (6, 8) of the injection molding machine at a liquid level preventing solidification of the molding material. An Independent claim is also included for an injection molding machine. Preferred Features: At least one of the filling elements is subjected to a moist atmosphere during the hardening time. The filling elements are in contact with a moisture support, preferably a material impregnated with water.
