The invention relates to a composite material used as electro-catalyst for combustion cell and to a process for obtaining the same. According to the invention, the material consists of a polytyramine matrix on which there are deposited platinum particles, having a specific active surface of 30...60 mp/g. According to the invention, the process consists in depositing, by cyclic voltammetry, some films of polytyramine on the surface of some graphite electrodes there resulting a polymer matrix, afterwards there is carried out the electro-chemical deposition of some platinum particles into the matrix pores, by applying a cathodic potential, wherefrom there results a composite material which is stabilized by cyclic voltammetry in the potential range -0.2...1.2 V.
