A method for preventing the inflammatory complications and pain syndrome after extraction of the tooth provides for administering the solution of the nicotinic acid or xanthinol nicotinate onto the socket of the extracted tooth in the form of the soaked plugs or injecting these solutions submucously at the site of the alveolar process on the lingual and vestibular sides.
