METHOD FOR CRYOPRESERVING NUCLEATED CELLS OF CORD BLOOD, INCLUDING HEMATOPOIETIC STEM CELLS

A method for cryopreserving nucleated cells of cord blood, including hematopoietic stem cells, relates to the field of cryobiology and cryomedicine and can be used for low-temperature preservation of nucleated cells of cord blood with the aim of further use thereof as a source of hematopoietic stem cells in clinical medicine. According to the method, nucleated cells of cord blood are mixed with a cryoprotecting solution comprising DMSO, prepared on the basis of polyglucin, up to the final concentration of the DMSO in a 5% cell suspension, arranged for 20 minutes into a chamber of a programmed freezer, preliminary cooled up to 0 °C, and then cooled up to a temperature of -60...-65 °C with a speed of 3...3.5 °C/min with the further merging into liquid nitrogen.
