Disclosed herein is a computer implemented method and system for collaboratively managing careers on a career portal. A first candidate selects a career consultancy from multiple career consultancies on the career portal. The selected career consultancy and the unselected career consultancies are referred to as a first career consultancy and second career consultancies respectively. On submission of profile information, the first career consultancy assigns a first career advisor to the first candidate. The profile information of the first candidate and profile information of second candidates is matched with a job order received from an employer. A request is triggered to the first career advisor and second career advisors regarding the matched profile information. The employer may recruit one or more interested first candidate and interested second candidates. The first career consultancy shares revenue with the second career consultancies on recruitment and instatement of one or more of the second candidates.
