A method for executing the management of contents of respective information devices by a server home-networked with the information devices storing contents evaluated with respect to at least one feature point.  The content management method comprises a feature point evaluation collecting step for collecting the feature point evaluations of the respective contents from the information devices, a feature point evaluation storing step for storing the collected feature point evaluations, a content selecting step wherein when a content is requested from an information device, the stored feature point evaluations are searched and a content having feature point evaluations suited to the request is selected, and a content location information providing step for informing the information device of location information relating to the selected content.
