The invention relates to a method of, and an apparatus for, in-mould-labelling of plastic containers (8), wherein a label-sheet material is introduced in situ into a container-production process and cut, and a transfer arrangement for cut labels uses a vacuum to insert the same into mould cavities, wherein the label (25) is applied to at least one side wall of a container, but preferably with a base surface of the latter being included, and the container is produced in a mould cavity which already contains the label portion preferably extending over a base surface of the mould cavity.
