A method of assaying for a biological activity is disclosed. The method is exemplified by an assay for von Willebrand Assay in which new kinetic equations are applied. The new kinetic equations account for discoveries made through experimental observations and applies unusual exponential terms in order to extrapolate von Willebrand factor activity from a standard reference curve. The standard reference curve can be prepared by dilutions of a reference with a known value of von Willebrand activity in buffer or in depleted plasma. A series of test sample dilutions can also be employed.
