An enthrallment-prevention timer includes a base (1), a setting subassembly (2) on the base, a plug (6) and a socket (3). The setting subassembly, the plug, the socket, and the circuit system (8) which is set in the base constitute a power control loop. There is an open-prevention subassembly on the base to protect the setting subassembly and the socket. The open-prevention subassembly contains a cover (4,41,42) on the base, and a fixing terminal (5) to lock the cover and the base. The circuit system (8) includes a mutual inductor current detecting circuit.
