In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method for calculating advertising costs for advertisements stored on a predetermined reading medium and used on a communications network, which method comprises a step in which a user stores advertising content and then an analysis is carried out of the behaviour subsequently engaged in by the user or other users with respect to the advertising content, and a step in which advertising costs for the advertisement are calculated based on the subsequent behaviour.
