OpenFlow COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND OpenFlow COMMUNICATION METHOD

OpenFlow switches control the packet transmissions and receptions in accordance with flow entries. Each of the flow entries includes a match condition indicating the communication flow of a packet and also includes an action indicating a processing of the packet. An OpenFlow controller generates a to-be-registered flow entry that is to be stored in the flow table of a particular OpenFlow switch located on a path of the communication flow. The OpenFlow controller then associates the to-be-registered flow entry with an ordinary packet to generate a capsuled packet. The particular OpenFlow switch extracts, as a new flow entry, the to-be-registered flow entry from the capsuled packet in response to the reception of the capsuled packet and executes the action indicated in the new flow entry.
